It has been Bastille Day (weekend) here and Bandafolie Weekend too - not a good clash as they both usually fall on different weekends so we were spoilt for choice. However, took some photos of some of the bands who attended the Bandafolie. Everything is free!! - except the beer of course. One or two of the bands playing in the streets of a local town. Time for a beer - the way the French do it best... Junk is junk no matter what country you live in.... Everyone behaves themselves...... spot the weapon! This poor chap was doing his thing in 30 degrees! Some kind person bought him a beer.
In a huge marquee it carries on ...... these youngsters were showing off their skills....... This band was brilliant - wish you had sound..... This lad was about 12 years old and boy, could he play the drums. He had about six standing ovations in all .............. When the sun finally set we had the most spectacular fireworks - photos do not do them justice I'm afraid. And a good time was had by all. Hope you enjoyed sharing a little bit of French life with us.
