    On the other forum that I use I've done a series of blogs showcasing some of my favourite finds on Flickr.
    So what follows are other peoples plant/flower photos that I feel deserve to be shared with a wider audience.
    Hope that you enjoy them!

    The first is an Orchid that I love - Habenaria medusa.............

        Sorry Longk, but apart from the orchid I find them all very ugly.

          I did say "(and freaks)"!

          Beauty is always subjective though, and I have so many pet hates............

              Never seen one so can't comment on the smell, but a quick google search came up with nothing to buy.

              I'd love to go to Madagascar, the divergent evolution is fantastic.

              Longk(you gonna have to change that name as I keep thinking of the Lonk in my signature:heehee:)

              Do you want to keep this thread as a link in your signature so you can come back to it with more finds & just add to it?

              I'm sure Val would apreciate a few Lithops in there:dbgrtmb:

                You and me both Ziggy. I also want to go to Chile, and return to New Zealand as my plant interest when I was there before only extended to certain "herbs"!!! Now that I'm grown up I realise what I missed - two of my most prised plants are Fuchsia perscandens and Metrosideros umbellata (which will be another three years maybe before I finally get it to bloom).

                Good idea about the signature - as an acute insomniac I have lots more to share! How do I do it?

                Didn't look for seeds.........
                Do Rareplants do seed - must have another look there!

                Sad tales regarding Habenaria;
                1- my Habenaria radiatta disappeared one day last summer when I was at work. All four gone , just an empty pot left so I blame birds.
                2- Sue tracked down flowering sized H.medusa tubers for my birthday which got lost in transit. That was gutting!
