"Bedroom Tax" possible refund!

    If you are having to pay the "Bedroom Tax" there is an outside posibility that you can get a refund or part of it back.

    Some Local Authorities have what is usually called a Discretionary Housing Payment fund. Contact your authority and ask if they have this fund, or something similar, so that you can apply for a refund.

    It will ask for details of all your income and expenditure and they can then decide whether you are being hit too hard by the "Tax" (which is, technically, not a tax but a reduction in benefit).

      I'm glad someone has actually pointed out that it is NOT A TAX.:)
