    Hello there :)

Was lucky to spot a pair of Bee eaters whilst visiting Spain last week, only managed to snap one of them from afar.

I'm not green with envy honest pip, a bird I would really love to see.:dbgrtmb:

There was a small group of 5 in the Scilly Isles three weeks ago but I don't think they stayed.
As our holiday has changed from Morocco to Mallorca, I hope to see some Hoopoes and others but August isn't a good time for bird watching.

Hi Strongy, it is indeed a colourful bird and it would have been a much better pic had the sun been out, poor weather all week. Was out in the car with father in law when I spotted them and luckily I had my camera with me. Had to wait around for about ten mins until they flew into zoom range. Saw a couple of hoopoes out in the fields, probably see more in sept when we go again.Tried several times to catch a tawny pippit picture but never saw one at rest and they are a tricky one to follow when flying.

Hope you get to see some hoopoes when you go to Mallorca. Depending on where you are staying try and get to the salt lakes in the south east of the island, Mrs Pip and I were lucky to see a flock of flamingos go over as we sat on the beach

We are staying in C'an Picafort so we will be close to the Albufera nature reserve.
