Bee House!

    I noticed a bee being busy around a hole in some brickwork next to some Veronicas (very popular with the bees)

    And this hole nearby has already been prepped and sealed up:

    So I hung up a bee house - available from the twee gardening sections of places like Waitrose and John Lewis (it was half price in Waitrose - my excuse for buying it - should really have made my own)

    Bee house! a house for bees!

    No takers yet though.

      I've have had my beehouse up for nearly four years and the bees will still choose the holes in the walls over the massive house I made for them.

      Here's a picture of my one. I took inpiration from one I saw for sale at RHS Hyde Hall for £100. Made mne for £20 all in.

        That's a bee mansion! nicely done. But from what you say maybe I should just drill a few more holes in the brickwork.
