    Hi Fellow gardeners

I had a bare rooted rose sent to me free from the newspaper or somewhere can't really remember!

So I've planted it out today and checked on the rest of my garden and been to the garden centre.
Can't wait to get going again properly, really miss getting out there.

It was cold though I had about ten layers of clothes on.

I have been to a garden centre today. Every thing so water logged it was such a shame to see.
Will be nice to visit again once it drys up a bit. I like walking around the garden with it been new, I keep looking to see if anything has happened. I live in hope at this time of year. Bye Grandchild4

Yes I must admit it was very wet on my lawn so didn't walk on it too much, the rose I'm not sure of woo I think it was described as a christmas rose and is red, very vague I know but I've thrown away the original newspaper advert; let's hope it survives.

At my garden centre all the christmas stuff was reduced by 50%, there was so much left I wonder what they do with the unsold stock?!

Despite frost all day this afternoon I lifted a couple of big Chantenny Red Core carrots (for soup), a bunch of Sugarsnax carrots and two parsnips and picked a load of Wellington Sprouts for Christmas dinner. Sadly all our own potatoes are finished, but stored apples and pears will provide the base for a dessert course.
