Been potting up some Callistemon today ...

    We used to have a 5' tall Callistemon in our garden which unfortunately dies around 2-3 years ago, but before going, dropped seed into it's pot it was planted in. The result was this (well, not quite, as this pic was taken after I had removed a clump which I have planted up )

    These are what I have potted up today, some real small ones currently sharing pots, which I can further pot up again later :-

    I have potted up a total of 55 individuals plants (as said above, some sharing pots), but I reckon I have used around 1/3 of what was from the first pic.

      I've grown a callistemon from seed, but managed to kill, so just started another off this week. This time, i'll take better care of it:smile:

        We thought ours had died 2010/11 winter,strongy gave me a lot of seed:) mine are budding this yr and one of the yellow ones has started to flower..long wait but worth it :)
