Just found a packet of Boltardy Beetroot seeds in the drawer.
Our earlier crop were really good.
Is it too late to sow a few more - will they come to anything?

Amateur Gardening magazine dated this Friday 20/8/11 suggests they are sowing these this week along with..

    Lettuce,
    Spring Cabbage,
    Spinach,
    Turnip,
    Swiss Chard,
    Broccoli

I'd say go for it, at best you'll have some beets, at worst you can use the beetroot leaves in a salad.

    Steve...:)

I'd go for it too. Sowed some in January, they are now bigger than the known universe and are starting to grow into another dimension.

We had a nice shower of rain this afternoon so I thought it was the right time to plant a small patch of beetroot seeds.

        Watch this space. . . . . . . . . [IMG]

(why do I get some words printed in red and underlined - e.g. plant and shower?? ooops! now they have gone)

The underlined words are the spell checker telling you that its wrongly spelt

However somebody needs to check the spell checker :help:
