    Hi all,

I am going to sow some beet root and the packet say sow direct. I was reading about sowing beer root in one of the books I have and it says to soak the seeds for half an hour in warm water to promote quicker germination. Does anyone else do this or should I sow direct.

    Thanks
    Rusty

Never ever soaked them and they've always grown just fine. I sow in pinches of three or four seeds spaced about 3 or 4 inches and then reduce to one once germinated.
