They need to be a bit larger. Hate to give out criticism.

Clueless74, get yourself a photohosting account with someone like photobucket. Having them upside down is not helping us see all the hard work you have been doing. It's much easier to post your photos on threads and you can rotate them online too. :blue thumb:

You prob can't see ( because they are upside down) but I have planted a pear peach and apple tree any suggestions as to what to put under them? I want to be able to retrieve all the fruit because of the dogs ( yes they are chows, who love to get in the way of a photo!) shall I just turf to keep it clean? I also have half of the garden devoted to the weed at the moment because I can't decide what to do with it!

image.jpg on the left hand side where the grass is long, I am planning a large pergola type thingy to make a shaded area for my woodland fern type garden, but any ideas for the right side? It gets sun for most of the day I fancied some decking but hubby is not keen! And some sort of water feature.... Help!

I wouldn't put anything around them. Even if you put turf around the trees you must leave a small circle of bare earth around them. Cut around the turf, don't mulch above the graft like I did once as it killed the whole tree.

It's looking good though. I'm starting to wonder if your holding the camera upside down or something now :snork:

This bank holiday was turf time so now feel as though it is getting there as I don't come out into the garden to an expanse of dirt! Funds have completely dried up now so have to borrow a mower for the new lawn, and keep hold on the other end of the garden maybe I could ask Father Christmas nicely for some garden centre vouchers:ideaIPB: image.jpg
