    Good evening everyone

Everytime I go to Sainsbury's. This gorgeous red begonia plant always catches my eyes. I was so tempted to get it but I'm not very keen to buy plants from the supermarkets as they don't seem to do well once I got them home. That could be because I'm not experience with plants.

So what I would like to know:

    1) are they bulbs?
    2) Can I leave them outside in the back garden in the winter?

    Thank youuuu :D

Answer to the first question probably not.
answer to second question, definately not.
Probably the fibrous rooted kind this time of the year, not really intended to last that long. Just a brightly coloured house plant, for a sunny window. [IMG]

Just to add: supermarket plants are rasied and displayed for sale. As long as they look good and sell that's all that matters to the managers.

They are usually forced into flower by the nursuries and are then ill treated during transport. Then the poor things get displayed in poor lighting and are either under or over watered in draughty supermarket entrances where they get alternately cooked and chilled. They are normally best avoided.
