    HI all
Well finally my giant begonia tubers have arrived,a good bargain for 10 upright 10 trailing begonias @ £11.99.
But i'm a bit concerned i've left it late to plant them for flowering in July...for the flower competition.
I'm just about to put them in a large seed trays to start them off. - i have window troughs ready for them but concerned its a little cold and this will take longer... what do you think?

    Thanks :)

Hi SP , you are very late to plant B. tubers . I usually plant mine late Feb , they start to flower late June. You must plant them inside , very shallow with the compost just covering the tubers. Also make sure they are the right way up - the dimple / dished side should be uppermost . Hope all goes well , trailing begonias are a superb plant :dbgrtmb:

Put them somewhere warm to kick-start them - airing cupboard for example. They will go several days, after shooting, before being desperate for light, so if you check them once a day that will be fine (including if you go away for a weekend, but not if you jet off for a week or more!)
