A couple of pics of my sinks planted up. Bearing in mind I'm not terribly good at gardening they turned out better then I expected and will hopefully improve more as everything grows. Not sure where I should have posted pics so could someone move if incorrect please

The sinks look quite pretty now as the flowers have grown and are blooming well - the smell is wonderful

The larger of the 3 sinks I bought I have set up as a wildlife pond - except there is no wildlife in it apart from the snails I put there. The Robin chick likes to perch on the tree branches I added for access though

Our wildlife pond was a little bereft of wildlife, now it's teeming with frogs, tadpoles, snails, waterboatmen, other unidentified wrigglies and 4 newts! If you build it, they will come... ;)

I'm wondering if the sink is too warm. Its in shade for most of the day, catches the afternoon sun from around 2pm, but the water does get quite warm. The heat might be the reason why some of the plants are doing ok while others are not thriving.

Maybe. Maybe you could put a mini pergola or something over it for cover? It could be a feature :)

Oh, thank you M :) I am thinking about getting an old bath to use as a planter too

We added a Butler sink to a garden, added a small log pile to rot down and some leave litter near by, plated some shade covering plants around the sink. Frogs, Newts and other creepy crawleys are numerous now, love it when nature finds its own way! Another log pile we added, has lizards and door mice :-)
