Ben Nevis Walk Next Week

Been in training for this .

Just hoping weather will be kind to us.

 

Always wanted to do this Scotkat.
Hope the weather is kind too

 

Should be a doddle in July.

When I went up (in the snow) there were guys running all the way up and two carrying a Dalek up as well.

I've been told someone carried a piano up years ago as well. Eeek!

 

I hope its not too warm for you kath have a great time and dont forget to post the photos x

 

Made it to the top so chuft but so tired shall share the photos with you all when we get home.

 

Well done Scotkat,and glad you made it to the top Did you see any snow on the top? Looking forward to seeing the photos as it has been quiet a few years since we climbed it.

 

Yes we saw snow on top Kandy.

Congratulations!
It's a horribly long slog to the summit and poor visibility doesn't enhance the enjoyment.

 

Yes a long slog as you have to start from sea level to get to the 4000ft.

But most of the way it was so hot and clear till near the summit then chilly and still snow on top.

But such an amazing feeling Dave.

I have done many hill walks but this was only my 6th Munro.

 

Hi Scotcat.

Although many have done it before, it always gave me a sense of achievement to get to any peak, Scafell Pike being one of those. I'm guessing Ben Nevis is quite challenging, so well done
