    As the subject says . . . .

    The idea was based on the old metal seats which evolved on the vintage tractors.
    While I have a number of seats spread around the garden, there is a spot where I often potter but with nowhere to rest my bum!

    The donor log came from a conifer which had died from a virus!

    This should suit my purpose . . .

      Nice job, even if I was expecting something like one of these...

        @Sandy Ground

        Wow Sandy!
        All those are impressive, and I thought I had an original idea :)

          Love it! Very rustic and I can just picture it nestled amongst the shrubbery where you can just take a moment to sit and ponder the world.
          Seriously, I'm sick and tired of having original ideas only to find someone else beat me to it! :rolleyes:
          When I took up quilting I was looking in Charity Shops for some items I could use as material. There were some beautiful embroidered doilies and I thought: cor! I could re-use those in a quilt and make a really unique item :ideaIPB: :ideaIPB: :ideaIPB:
          Shame the Victorians stole my idea before I had an opportunity to come up with it :doh: :roflol:

            I actually prefer Davids seat to the ones I posted photos of for two main reasons. First, it is repeatable. Second, there is a sense of humour in its design.
