I've got several big, tall, healthy clumps of lupins, white and pink. A couple of weeks ago I cut a few spikes for in the house. They looked great for a couple of days and then one by one they curled right over, still with all their petals and plenty of water. I don't often cut lupins, but the ones I donated to our church didn't curl. Why did the ones in the house? Is it worth bothering to cut them again or do they nearly always curl?

But did you water them before cutting them? Cut flowers do better if they are turgid, that is, full of water. So, the night before cutting them, give them a good soak.:dbgrtmb:
