berry identification help

    I have seen these berries in my field where i keep bees. Could anyone identify them for me?

    I presume your talking about the small purplish blue berries? they are Sloe Berries which you make Slow Gin out of:thumb: Prunus spinosa or commonly known as Blackthorn

    if you eat one raw it makes your mouth go all dry and sour:hehe:

    But if you soak them in gin you can make an excellent alcoholic beverage!

    Don't pick sloes until after the first frost, or alternatively, pick them and pop them in the freezer for a bit.
