I've recently moved to a new house which has some bushes running the length of the garden. Earlier in the year they produced pink flowers and are now producing berries. Please could someone identify the bushes and tell me if the berries are edible. The berries are slightly oval, the started off green now turning a black/blue colour and when open contains many small seeds. The leaves look like a type of ribes. I've attached a pic. Thanks for your help.

Isn't that the flowering current, Ribes sanguinium?... I've never heard of anyone eating them...but I I doubt it will kill you if you tried!
