If the other is the one at the back, I thought it might be in next doors garden.
I have often thought about getting a Beschorneria but I would have the same old space problem.:(

Yep, as the other one, probably Citrinus Splendens.

By the time we have finished discussing the Callistemons the Beschorneria will be out.
Hope to see pics of it then.:)

    Strange flower Steve.
Dont get me wrong its quite an achievement.:thumb:

But do you think its a bit of an anti climax, the stem is impressive but the actual flowers, not so.:(:)

    I agree Pete,

I did read up on the plant so wasn't expecting fireworks as such but I'm just pleased to have got it to flower.

I was looking over the plant this afternoon and it looks like theres another flower spike begining to form.

I've also got another clump of B.Y.'s that I'm going to split up so if anyones in the South Glos - Bristol area p.m. me and you will be welcome to one. First come first served obviously.

My beschorneria yuccoides is also flowering for the first time Agaveman. Maybe it's something about Gloucestershire that brings out the best in them eh?
I planted it about 5 years ago and this is the first time it's flowered. I'm getting lots of enquiries about it as it's planted in my front garden.
I agree with Pete, the stems are impressive - the flowers not quite so. But it's a real fun plant don't you think.
