Which is the better tasting butter -not so refined- on the market, in your opinion?

Shir Gar Welsh salted butter. I used to love it when i was a kid, it seems a bit salty to me now. I like salted or unsalted Lurpak - actually I buy the identical version which Lidl/Aldi sell. President French butter is also good, especially the stuff you get in France which is slightly fermented. You can get it with sea salt crystals in it too.

I never buy butter in a tub (unless camping). Seems all wrong somehow.

Sorry Miraflores, can't answer that. I haven't eaten butter for at least 25 years. :)

      Good question Miraflores.
      Butter is not just butter.
My everyday workhorse is Lurpak but I like to ring the changes with other butters - horses for courses.
The unsalted Orkney butters are lovely as are the Irish butters.
If you just want something from the supermaket for a change then the French President is nice.
The one butter I can't stand is the New Zealand Anchor.
