Best climber in a pot....

    I'm a complete newbie, I'd like to plant something that will grow up my fence at the back of my house, it will have to be planted in a pot as my "garden" is really a yard, it's a mostly shaded area due to the fence but I think my garden / yard is south facing. Any ideas would be a great help. :new:

    before we can offer possible climbers, it would help to see the area that it will be expected to perform in. Do you want flowers or do you want a shrub ? Shrubs or small trees ar usually long term whereas flowers can be changed periodically if you fancy a change?

    Sorted, not the best pic I know, the concrete where the table and chairs are is going to be covered with mulberry slate, just waiting for my dad in law to retire :hapydancsmil: then I can use his expertise xx

      I'm planning on moving the table and chairs and putting a trough next to the fence with a climber of some description up the fence xx

      Photo on RHS site is a bit naff ... it looks better than that in practice. Incredible scent too. Flowers during the summer.
