Hi all , a friend of mine in Italy to celebrate her anniversary would love to plant a beautiful white english rose , that doesn`t grow too much (about 3 feet) really compact and with a nice fragance .
As the accasion is special she would love a special rose any help?
my suggestion would have been Susan Williams-Ellis or any David Austin but everyone would go for one this .
    any help please

Perhaps you should post in the 'Roses' forum Sal. I've ordered 'Iceberg' which is getting good reports. :)

That's entirely your choice, the 'Austins' do produce good roses but they are expensive and a number of GC members like me won't pay their prices.

Are at least worth the price? temperature over there can reach 40c and it will be a nice waist of money if she lose it .

To be honest I think to a certain extent you are paying for the name. There are plenty of lovely roses to choose from with other rose dealers. Roses are hardy and should stand temperatures that are quite low. :)

Jenny and Sal, take a look at my thread 'Buying Roses' in the 'Rose' forum here on GC, there are a number of suggestions there for suppliers of which I've ordered from recently. :)
