Best Greenhouse Plants ?

Simple question , lots of answers . My new daughter in law to be has a new house with a greenhouse. Now I only grow my Chillis in the GH after the other plants come out in May . What plants can you suggest that need a GH in our climate that are not to difficult to grow and have loads of ooomph !

Edible or flowering?

 

Flowering @CharlieBot . Tesco and Asda cover the edible stuff pretty well for me
So we are after a nice flowering GH plant , not to difficult to keep alive . ....

Gloriosa. The most common form is Gloriosa superba rothschildiana..............


Ismene x festalis (which is more commonly sold as Hymenocallis festalis).................


Most Ismene bulbs are a year or two away from flowering so I would go online and buy from a specialist such as Anglian Bulbs.

Bessera elegans..................


Scadoxus Multiflorus...............


All the above are bulbous or tuberous so just need frost free winter storage somewhere. If you can guarantee a frost free greenhouse then the world opens up no end.

Mackaya bella..............


Salvia gesneriiflora is a winter blooming Salvia..............




Or you could build her some staging and she could start a cactus and succulent collection for not a huge sum. Some Echeveria species..............

 

Will the greenhouse be heated in winter? Does she want flowering plants in the house or greenhouse or both?
Bougainvilleas are easy, some Bromeliads flowers for months eg Aechmea, Guzmania and Vriesea.

 

Thanks for the many great suggestions @longk and @strongylodon . The greenhouse will not be heated and the plants will just be for the GH . We will review the winter problem as it arrives. If you don't mind I'll peruse your suggestions over the weekend , and hopefully pick two for her . May need some advice on where to buy them from .
