    Hey everyone,

Just wanted to check what people have generally found to be the best mix for their pots indoors all year? (Not general purpose compost)

I generally overwater things in winter so decided to try and make something that is very well draining but also holds water and nutrients well.

If i were to mix for example:

4 handfuls - Hydrococo 60% clay beads 40% coco coir
    2 handfuls - compost
    1 handful of perlite

Would it be giving enough good stuff to most house plants? I grow a lot of citrus (lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, orange plants along with mostly calatheas and bird of paradise for the indoor stuff. Was hoping ot would also help to get rid of fungus gnats in the summer too.
