best looking hardy hostas plant

    Hi,

    is there any hostas species which the hardiest of all.

    My Sum and Substance takes and unprotected battering in a north facing cold front garden in a large pot.:)

    They are as hardy as old boots!

    I have never lost a Hosta to anything, even the slugs leave them mostly alone.

    They are too busy eating Polyanthus and Pansy flowers,as well as variegated Ivy leaves, and then the ivy flowers when they come out!

    I have a Hosta called "So Sweet" pale green and cream variegated leaves, with a very nice sweetly perfumed white flower, (most hosta flowers are washed out lilac, best removed), it is my favourite!

    If big leaves are your thing have a look out for Hosta's "Mr Big" or "Big Daddy"
