I have inherited a cherry tree & a what I now know as a plum tree (it was a mystery for a while lol) on the allotment. But would like to move them to a different spot of the plot.

Whats the best way to do this & when? They only look young - cherry tree only got 1 cherry on it & is small. The plum tree has got about 6 plums on ripening at the mo & is also relatively small

    Any advice appreciated :)

Further to what Spruce said, give the ground a proper soaking before and after digging it up.
