Best wind breaker

    What's the best tree or bush to give my house protection from coastal winds and I mean strong winds.I want something that grows fast and is easily maintained.It must be non toxic to livestock. :D

    Shouldn`t be too expensive. Should also be readily available at your local garden centre.
