Just seen the news. Richard Hammond of Top Gear has had a bad crash trying to break the British Land Speed record. He's in hospital with head injuries. As well as being a petrol head and a thoroughly nice bloke he's responsible for my sons interest in Science through his programme Brainiac.
Get well soon Richard, hope your ok.

Latest news - although brain damage he has good chance of a complete
    recovery. Hope this is true.

Best wishes to Richard Hammond and his family.

I hope indeed he makes a full recovery and my thoughts are with his family. I like the guy - and I like also the interaction between the three of them on top gear.

Yes, heard that good news Sally.

And the amount of money donated to the Air Ambulance is very impressive isn't it?

Great link miraflores, thanks for posting it.
So glad he's well on the way to recovery and the amount raised for the air ambulance is phenomenal
Took my boy to a modified car show in Weston Super Mare a couple of years ago and Richard Hammond made a point of coming over and speaking to him. Seemed such a nice bloke and to go out of his way to speak to a 5yr old put him top of my list of 'thoroughly nice chaps'.
Wishes for a speedy recovery Richard [IMG]
