Bird feed seed

Not sure where to put this post so I reckon this is the nearest.
I usually buy large bags of bird feed seed for the table.
Every year the little darlings throw the stuff off the table and I see little shoots growing all over which are removed.
Its happening again this year...
So, I have put aside a sq foot or so and scattered some seed on it.
Just to see what grows..
I was wondering if anybody else has done this and also am I in for any suprises?
Im reckoning the plants would be a good insect attraction and usefull for food for the birds later..

I do this all the time just for fun. I get most dodgy looking sunflowers, what I think is mustard and grass. Still waiting for something special. I made the mistake of putting a fat ball on the arch over the rose bed-spent hours picking seedlings out of rose beds.


Why do the seeds I sow never seem to thrive as well as these ones???

 

I shall wait in anticipation for something special.. as long as its not whacky....

 

I must admit to having had that grow too.

 

I had cannabis plants which I loved - until someone told me what they were!!
