Birds had a party in our garden

    Yesterday there must have been 10 of these beauties and 6 chaffinch then lots of pidgeons scared them off except this 1.

      Working out the back today and I was kept company all the time by about 10 sparrows. They looked really fat but I presume they puff their feathers up against that biting easterly.

      yeah they puff their feathers out like that to help conserve heat. you cant help but feel sorry for them in this weather, it amazes me how they survive at all tbh food must surely be scarce? at least its not in our garden though...the bird table has never seen so much activity.
