for the past couple of years or so i've been trying to get some birds into our garden/yard. Only in the past few months have i started to get Great Tits, (cough) and Blue Tits. We now have a whole family of Blue Tits, it's so lovely as there coming really close to the window now.

i just wondered if anyone had any advice on what i can do to bring more species not just the little birdies. I'd love a hedgehog, there soooo cute. Im sure that there must be some little H'Hogs around here somewhere looking for a nice little place to stay.I'd welcome them with open arms...

Good luck, my friend - it's so worthwhile and very rewarding. The creatures you attract also keep down the garden pests so it's a "win win situation" as they say. Have a look at this http://www.wildaboutgardens.org/Gardening/ or Google "wildlife gardening" for more ideas

I like birds in the garden but have been plagued this year by jackdaws nesting in unused chimneys above the row of cottages. They started the year by picking apart hanging basket liners for nest material, carried on with destroying daffodils, and have just finished demolishing the leaves on the Magnolia stellata and the pink flowers on a clematis.
I wouldn't mind if I'd ever seen them eating slugs or snails!
