    Some of the birds seen last week in Tenerife, some endemic and found nowhere else.

    Hoopoe at the Palmatum in Santa Cruz, hoped to see one but not so close.

        @Victoria This was the first time I had seen one with it's crest up and never expected to see one feeding in front of us.:smile:

          Aren't they just so beautiful with the crest up. Our friends had a nest/family of them at the back of their garden where they had grass in the shade ... I understand they like grassy areas which, of course you don't see a lot of here. Or maybe they are all on the golf courses ??? :heehee:

          Lovely birds. A few years ago I had a Hoopoe in my garden, here in South Devon; I've also seen them in Nepal while trekking.
