    Hi everyone.

I bought a Black Baccara and Twice in a Blue Moon roses today. An impulse buy. Any suggestions about planting - where and how??

    Thanks in advance

Most roses prefer full sun but will cope with shade for part of the day. They are hungry plants so it's best to dig some well rotted manure into the soil first, if that's not available something like 'blood, fish and bone'. Don't put anything straight into the hole as it will burn the roots, it must be dug into the soil. Plant the roses so that the soil is just below the graft joint. Pruning is usually done late Feb/early March but you could still do it now although a little late. There is a thread here in the roses section on how to do that. Feed the roses again in July by sprinkling the feed around the rose and watering in. :)
