Hi Gemini Yes I have that particular Rose.Bit of a disappointment as its just a dark red in colour and very difficult to get just right.I do know that it does not have a great disease resistance and that it is fairly temperamental when it comes to soil conditions and temperatures, especially the PH values of the growing soil.:)

In 2004, Meilland introduced the "Meidebenne" Black Baccara Hybrid Tea rose for the home garden

I'm growing this rose this year, i hope it turns out ok. Another rose i ordered along with it was blue moon. It's my second year of gardening at this house so these roses will go in my new border with all the bedding which I will be sowing within the next month.
Hope the rose turns out well for you Gemini, i hope it does not have as much problems as wiseoldowl says it does, so fingers crossed. :)
