Black dots on leaves

    Hi

    I have just been gathering the fallen leaves up and notice there are black dots all over them (see attached pics). The tree isnt in my garden, it is on the other side of my fence.

    I know very little about gardening so wondered if anyone knows what this is.

    It's a disease that sycamores get called Tar Spot. The tree will now get it every year, but it will do it little harm.
    It will not affect other plants.

    I have the same from my laurel trees where the leaves have ALL fallen off [they are 4 years old ] is it possible the frost has had them [4 of ] i have grown and nurtured laurels with success over the years and these 4 were perfectly healthy before the onset of Winter.i am based in S.West Wales and like most of the U.K. it has been a very cold winter
