Black leaves on hellebore

    Is this normal?

    If not, how do I save it or is it acually one for the compost heap? Thanks

    :scratch: That looks suspiciously like Leaf blotch to me, especially as that is this years growth of leaves, have a look HERE

    You could also have a bad infestation of greenfly under there too. I would remove all the leaves, they are not going to do the plant any good now and soak it with a systemic fungicide(if they still sell one) and it may survive.
