Black spots on lupins

    I bought three Lupin The Page from Sarah Raven. They're growing quite nicely and are just coming into flower. But I have two problems:

    1) in the first week of owning them, I noticed little black spots appearing , first on the top of the leaf, eventually working its way through to the underside. I've been removing the leaves and treating with fungicide, which seems to have slowed it - but I wondered if these spots are actually just part of the plant?
    2) some of the buds have dropped from the flower just as they have begun opening - might be a one off due to wind or something, but not sure :dunno:
