Ok, so have googled very unsucessfully. My blackcurrant is ill :-( The new leaves (on the end of each branch) and curling as if they have not have enough water... but there seem to be some teeny tiny white bugs on them too? What is this and how do I get rid of it - about half my blackcurrants are still ok, the others have turned brown and died...

    ....help!

What are the bugs like? Do they have wings? Do they crawl? Fly? Hop? Stay still? Can you see what they look like? :cnfs:

hum, OK here are 2 pictures - they are the best I can do but what's puzzling me is they don't look like bugs... more like if you wash some clothes and leave a tissue in the pockets....

right have brought a generic fruit plant spray and sprayed with that because whatever it was was spreading and no amount of picking off was working. Still interested in suggestions though, because I hate using sprays in my garden but my entire bush was dying....

mztrouble, let me know if that cures it because I seem to have something similar on the pear tree.

Looks like white fly to me. Often a good dousing with a mild solution of ordinary washing up liquid will do the job with most bugs.
