Blackcurrant signs of life?

    I bought a blackcurrant plant from Wilkos about a week ago. It didn't have any foilage and was cut down to a stump. How long until it shows signs of... life? We've had hit and miss with plants we've bought from Wilkos. B&Qs were more expensive but they are outside in the shop and have leaves sprouting.
