Can anybody tell me where I can buy 'Blade of Mace'. Have looked in every local shop I can think of and also googled but no luck.

Great recipe when I find some. :D

It is only the outer skin of a Nutmeg and you can buy it in Sainsburys... [IMG]

[IMG] Rosie, you've got a better Sainsbury than us.
Our local Sainsburys (3 of them) haven't sold Blade of Mace for ages they tell me - only the Ground Mace, and yes, it's the outer skin, i.e. the 'Mace' that I am looking for - it's a bit different flavour from the Nutmeg.

Oh Jordie thats unfortunate I suppose it has always been a Southern based store when I moved up to Blackpool to live when 1st married in the 50s ;) No Sainsburys so settled for the Coop,Morrisons which we now have down here are very good.. they even sell dried Porcini mushrooms at half the price of Waitrose. ;)

Thanks again Rosietu (for email) Think Asda is the only one I haven't tried yet. I will look for future requirements but have ordered some on line for now.
