    Hi All.

Last year my outdoor tomatoes were wrecked by what *looks* like potato blight according to the book "The vegetable and herb expert" (B+Q sell it.... )
They were gardener's delight cherry toms, and the ones in the greenhouse were blight free.
Problem is, in my small garden, the best spot is up against the fence, sheltered, and in full sun, but that's where the diseased toms were last year, and I'm guessing that viruses and disease stay in the soil.
Would Armillatox destroy the virus, or should I abandon the idea of using that space for toms this year?
I've got some melanzana prosperosa Italian aubergine seedlings on the go - would they be safe to plant out by the fence in summer, or would the soil pox get them too? The few sweet peppers outside seemed unaffected.....

    cheers,
    Dave

Dave I would definitely treat the area with Armillatox, this is what I have done at a couple of my clients who lost potatoes and tomatoes to blight last year. I will be growing these plants again this year, so fingers crossed.

Day off tomorrow, so Armillatox it is then....
I'll probably treat the area where the (fortunately blight-free) spuds grew last year just to make sure.

    cheers,
    Dave
