Just been down to the pill box, saw a few feathers & something hopping further into it, thought it was an injured Pigeon, so quietly went in to see if I could help it.

Came face to face with a Kestrel tearing a blackbird apart. It tried to fly thru the window. Remembering the 70lb per square inch tallons, I grabbed a sheet of cardboard & managed to shoo it out the door before it hurt itself.

I was cussing for not having the camera, as it sat still in the middle for a while, about 4 feet from me. Mind you, my camera is so awkward to open he probably would have killed me in the time it would have taken.
