Has anyone any experience of the use of this fertiliser?

I often use it in planting holes but not as a top dressings as it atracts foxes badgers and to dig thinking there's a buried corpse.

Not sure I can be much help but what I do know is that BFB fertilizer is slow acting.
They used to say that to fertilize trees, if growing anong other plants or grass, it should be applied early before the grass starts growing.
That way it works its way down with the winter rains and is not absorbed by the grass, maybe true, I dont know for sure.
I think it should be applied to the area of the spread of the top growth.
Its difficult to overdo organic fertilizers I think. But dont go mad. [IMG]

MOL, fish, blood and bone, is a general fertiliser, unlike Growmore, which only lasts in the soil for 7 to 10 days, f,b,and b will last for 4 to 6 weeks. Assuming your trees are fairly mature, I would use it at a rate of about 4ozs per square yard.
