    Hi All,
My first post .... so lets see how this goes :)

I have had a standard purple Agapantha (Agapanthus) in my garden for a few years now, taken as a good size cuttings from a family members garden. There are about 10 good leaf base clusters yet every year i only get one flower stem and hence only one flower head.
What can I do, if anything, to encourage more stems for next year?
Also the head has died back now and left me with about a dozen or more of what appear t be seed pods, can i do anything with these t grow more Agapanthus? If so how best to do this, conditions, timing, soils etc

    Thank you all in advance
    Regards
    John

Hi, John. (I LOVE your sheep!!) Last year I bought a giant Agapanthus which produced one flower (a big one!) I took the seeds when they had dried off and planted quite a lot. Only a few flourished, and I now have six new plants, doing very well. The original has had two huge flowers this year. Perhaps you could try collecting the seeds from yours and raising some new stock? Best of luck!! ;)Lindy.
