I'm not keen on pigeons (wood) mainly because as soon as it warms up, they sit on the roof outside my bedroom window coo-cooing from stupid o'clock in the morning!!!!

We spend hours in the winter laughing at them trying to land on the tiny hanging bird table!!!!

Anyway - Landscaper is back from his holiday tomorrow, and will be chopping down our tree in around 3 weeks time. So, what can these blasted pigeons do to delay our garden even more?????!!!!! They have built a nest in the middle of the tree and are sitting on eggs!!!!!

There is no way I can destroy their nest - although I hate the things, I'm no murderer.. (except of slugs - shudder!!)

Does anyone know how long it takes for baby pigeons to fledge?????? (Can't remember their proper names....)

    Thanks

No, I don't know what baby pigeons are called but we have the same problem with them making their stupid noises from about 4am. We keep saying that we are going to shoot them but neither of has a shooting licience - and don't want one. I have suggested that we perhaps get a falcon but my husband is not keen on that idea. Anyway, we don't know how to train it. Gad, I wish the pests would move to another neighbourhood.

The problem is universal. On the IoW they drive us potty, here they drive you potty when the screech owls aren't. Out of interest, HB and K-G, read this ...
