Not sure if anyone can help, but, I've got a Bluetooth speaker and I used it for a year or more connected to my laptop and it works well.

Anyway a few weeks ago I was watching something on youtube on my phone, so decided to connect my phone to the speaker, which worked ok and I've used it a couple of times since.

Problem I now have is that the speaker now wont connect to my lap top anymore, even though my laptop says its connected.

    Any ideas?
I've tried going through the reconnection process and the laptop says nothing is found.

    Hi Pete,

Hmmm, read a similar thead to this earlier today , though cannot remember where ??

Anyway the jist was, to cancel / remove all BT connections on all of the devices, then make a new one from your laptop to speaker.

Was inferred that some devices somehow block / hold the connection even when not in use ??

      Ok thanks Ricky.
I've turned off the bluetooth on bot my phone and I've switched off the TV just in case that was interfering, but still no go as yet.

I dont have BT, so are you referring to Wi Fi?

      Hi,

Opps, meant BT = Bluetooth not British Telecom :)

No BT expert, but if you look on the latop and mobile you may find reference to a connection to the speaker, if so, cancel or remove it.

No idea of the speaker, but expect if you disconnect its power for 5 mins than should Reset it as well, so allowing you to start a new connection ok ?

OK, I'm going to see if I can work out how to disconnect the phone from the speaker.

The speaker is rechargeable, so you just turn it on or off, its only a small mobile devise.

Hi Ricky, yes got there in the end.
I had to remove the speaker from my phone and my laptop and then reconnect to my laptop.

Seems its not just a case of it connects to all things just by turning it on.:rolleyespink:

        Hi,

Don't have BT on our PCs/Laptops, but would look on the Laptop and remove any BT reference you see for the Speaker. If you do find something to delete , then that will probably allow you to make a new working connection ok.

Well done to the two of you for getting it sorted. :yay:

I'm pleased that I don't have any of these new-fangled things :old:

I've had my car for a couple of years but every time I get into it I'm being told I haven't connected my bluetooth devices to it. You'd have thought that if it was smart it would have worked things out by now :roflol:
