I hope you have some exciting plans for the garden.

Wotcha folks, I'm back online again. :)

Thanks for all the good wishes and messages, much appreciated. :dbgrtmb:

Moving day went very well. The removals blokes were brilliant, the sun shone all day, a few family members mucked in and provided some invaluable help on the day and we were all unloaded and in the new house by late afternoon. :hapydancsmil:

The day couldn't have gone better really, it all went off without a hitch. Right up to the point where me and Mrs Trunky decided to call it a day and get some welcome sleep, settling down in bed for our first night in our new home.

At which point we discovered that one of the cats had expressed its displeasure with all the upheaval by peeing all over our bed. :yikes: :hate-shocked:

We REALLY didn't need that at the end of a long tiring day, so one final effort was needed to change the sheets, duvet and mattress (the cat had been very thorough), before we finally collapsed for a good night's sleep.

Still got lots of stuff in boxes and so on, but we've settled in nicely, met some of our new neighbours and even managed to sneak in an hour's gardening on Sunday afternoon. And yes, the cat has been forgiven for its misdemeanor, it's what cats do isn't it? :cat-kittyandsmiley:

I'll post some photos of the new garden on here when I get the chance so you can all have a look round.

Once again, thanks for all the good wishes and see you again soon. :)

Hi there folks, just popping in again to keep in touch.

We had a busy weekend still sorting stuff out, but we're getting there. :)

I borrowed the pick-up from work again on Saturday and spent the day moving all my pot and container plants from their temporary home at sister-in-law's to our new garden. Some of them are quite large, so it involved a fair bit of lifting and humping about. I remarked on the fact that most of the plants looked healthier than when I took them round there a couple of weeks ago, sister-in-law obviously has the magic touch and the plants have clearly enjoyed their little sojourn in her garden.

Sunday was spent doing a little tidying up and trimming here and there and, of course, positioning all the pots and containers to my satisfaction. I gave them all a good soaking too as it's been mild and mostly dry here for the past week.

Mrs Trunky got chatting to one of our new neighbours on Saturday and we've offered to mow their lawn and keep an eye on the garden for them while they're away for the next couple of months. In return they said they'll be happy to feed the cats for us next time we go away.

It does seem to be a friendly neighbourhood here, I think we're going to like it. :)
