    Hi
Just wanted to introduce myself to you all as I will undoubtedly be picking a lot of brains over the next few months!
We live in Brittany where we are lucky enough to have a garden of almost 1 acre, most of which was beautifully landscaped before we moved here 5 years ago. We have masses of mature shrubs and trees and my main task up to now has been to keep them and the lawn under control, which seems to be a job akin to painting the Forth Road Bridge. Also we have a never ending battle with nettles and brambles
However we also have a large patch at the bottom of the garden (about 300 sq metres) which we keep looking at and then ignoring, because it is very boggy and we haven't known what to do with it.
However the time has come to attack the problem because the weeds are spreading into the main garden (and quite frankly it looks awful), hence my joining this forum.
We're hoping to clear it and plant mainly with suitable grasses, bamboos and other bog plants.
So... this is our project for the next few years and I am looking forward to getting advice and maybe sharing experiences with everyone
    Karen

Hi, Karen ... I like Floozies ... my sort of person. :D Welcome to GC!

I'm afraid I can't be much help to you because I'm not quite in the climate for bog gardens ... but I wish you well with your endeavour. Your garden sounds lovely actually and I am quite jealous ... claws out ... [IMG]

    Enjoy the forum!
