I recently bought a set of "The New Royal Horticultural Society Dictionary of Gardening" 1992 (for a very reasonable price I might ad:yho:) unfortunately the 4th volume has got some wear to the binding and a loose page and without being repaired probably wont withstand day to day use for very long, my question is how and where do I go to get a book repaired? as it's not something people generally do nowadays as books are relatively cheap (unless in this case there out of print... :( ) also does anyone have any idea how much something like this would cost?

    Thanks in Advance!

    Hi Aesculus ...

Have you spoken to Ottakers who were very helpful to me when I was looking for Portuguese verb books on the High Street in Newport ?... perhaps they could point you in the right direction.

I have an 1851 poetry book by James Thomson which has both front and back covers off but the spine attached and an 1827 Dictionary of Portuguese/English English/Portuguese (the first written) with the spine off but still attached to the back cover. Because of their age I wouldn't dare have them repaired. I got the former for £1 and the latter for £10 in a secondhand bookshop in Aylesbury, Bucks ... but I think are worth slightly more now. :hehe:

    Good luck in your search.
