I've never heard of this variety, a quick google shows none of the seed companies have any - I'd be interested to know why you want them.

hi john, thankyou for your reply. fothergills use to sell the seeds and plants.
but alas no longer. i found that i was most sucessfull with this cherry, sweet. bush variety. infact it was an amazing plant, it always produced so many i had enough to give away and prepare and freeze.
its looking very likely that i will not be able to get this variety again. can you please suggest a variety i could use instead. i had a very poor and uninteresting crop of toms this year. lets hope for an indian summer. thankyou crocus.

Don't reckon we are going to get that Indian Summer.

Brasero sounds like a good variety, wish it was freely available. I googled and found this:
    Scroll 1/3 down the page:

    http://www.seeds-by-size.co.uk/tomato-red-fruited-varieties.html

    Brasero F-1; 5 seeds cost £2.00 10 seeds cost £4.00 25 seeds cost £7.00
    Bush variety,semi-prostate spreading habit,very quick
to ripen, harvested late July to early August from early June planting.

Pretty expensive as I think there is a £2 postage cost as well, but it's the only supplier I can find.
Also I've never used/heard of this company before.

I have some saved Brasero seeds.

I used to buy this variety (outdoor bush with good crops of salad sized toms) sold by Mr Fothergills every year, and despaired when I found out it was discontinued (which was quite a few years ago), but when I phoned them to ask about alternative sources, an extremely helpful member of their staff had a look around and found their last few unpacked seeds in a drawer. He assured me they were not F1 (as I've seen them described elsewhere), sent them to me (free of charge) and I've saved seeds from them every year (including this year) and they've always grown true to form. Have always also grown them as my maincrop tomato for toms for pasta sauce and they crop exceptionally well if grown through polythene mulch.

Are you still interested? - you have a PM.

P.S. Absolutely free of course - just as I had them provided to me

Those prices at seeds by size seem extortionate:

    "Brasero F-1; 5 seeds cost £2.00 10 seeds cost £4.00 25 seeds cost £7.00

    Bush variety,semi-prostate spreading habit,very quick

to ripen, harvested late July to early August from early June planting.

plus postage "1.50 under 17.00 UK"

If required, I'll include detailed seed saving instructions so you can save them every year and pass on to others.

P.P.S. Don't suppose anybody has some 'Sigmabush' outdoor tomato seeds, that Unwins used to sell, but disappeared a year or so before 'Brasero' also disappeared from general sale?
